Essential Requirements for Certi cation:
Marking and labelling - Product and Packaging Marking
The marking shall be legibly and durably marked on each product and it’s packaging in English or in Arabic and English Language. As a minimum, marking should include:
• CountryofOrigin(both)
• NameofProducerorExporterorRegisteredTrademark(both)
• Othermarkingrequirementsapplydependingonthetypeof
product
Regulated products
• Textiles&Footwear • Sanitaryware
• Food
• Toys
• Electricals
• Tableware
• HealthandBeautyproducts • Lighting
Fees
• Applicablefeesarepaidbythepartyrequestingcerti cation. TheCoI
fees basically cover the cost of evaluation, shipment inspection and certi cate issuance. All other fees pertaining to testing, quality audit, etc are paid separately by the party requesting certi cation.
