ATTESTATION OF CONFORMITY
The Agence des Normes et de la Qualite (ANOR), a public administrative body of the Republic of Cameroon, has been tasked with the Veri cation of Conformity for imported goods. To this e ect the Government has put in place a Cameroon Conformity Assessment Programme o cially known as PECAE (Programme d’Evaluation de la Conformité Avant Embarquement).
All regulated products shipped to Cameroon are subjected to the Veri cation of Conformity and Exporters must obtain an Attestation of Conformity (AoC) from a Service Provider such asIntertek. TheAoCsissuedbyIntertekwillbeelectronically transmitted to ANOR’s systems for their reference. The veri ed AoC will be the basis of ANOR to issue a Certi cate of Conformity (CoC) to the Importer. CoC must be presented by the Importer to the Cameroonian Customs for clearance of their goods.
The key elements undertaken in the programme are:
• Physicalinspectionpriortoshipment
• Sampling,testingandanalysisinaccreditedlaboratories • QualityAuditofproductionprocesses
• Documentaryreviewofconformitywithregulations
To apply for an Attestation of Conformity you will need to supply Intertek with:
• CompletedRequestforCerti cation(RfC)Form,which is available on our website
• AcopyofCommercial/FinalInvoice
• DeclarationofImport(DI)
• LetterofCredit(L/C),ifavailable
• QualityManagementSystemCerti cates(ISO9001,ISO
22000, ISO/TS 16949 etc.), if available
• TestDocumentssuchasTestReports,TestCerti cates,etc. • Packinglist,BillofLading,ifavailable
• Account Application Form applicable for new clients
Upon receipt of the above listed documents, Intertek will arrange with you a mutually convenient date, time and location for the shipment inspection to be carried out.
This can normally be arranged within a maximum of 48 hours of your initial call to us. Your AoC will then be issued within a maximum of 24 hours of the inspection if the results are satisfactory.
