Essential Requirements for Certi cation:
Marking and Labelling
Marking shall be in Arabic or in Arabic and English. The marking shall be clearly discernible, legible and indelible. As a minimum, marking should include:
• CountryofOrigin
• ManufacturerandTrademarkdetails
• GMarkandGulfConformityTrackingSymbol(ToysandLowVoltage
Electrical Products
• Othermarkingrequirementsapplydependingonthetypeofproduct.
• InstructionmanualsmustbeinArabicorinArabicandEnglish Regulated Products
Regulated products include: Children Toys (for age up to 14 years), Household and commercial electrical and gas appliances, Engine, Gear and Transmission Oils, Brake Fluid, Paints and Putties (For Buildings & Roads), Facial Tissue Paper, Cigarettes and other Tobacco products, MelamineDinnerware,Plastic&metalconduits& ttings and CPVC Water Pipes.

Fees
• Applicablefeesarepaidbythepartyrequestingcerti cation.The
TER fees basically cover the cost of evaluation, shipment inspection and certi cate issuance. All other fees pertaining to testing are paid separately by the party requesting certi cation.
